Revolver
is an action packed thriller that keeps your nose in the book till the end. In
Revolver there is never a shortage of action. In the book Wolff says “I’ve
nearly frozen to death. Twice. I have starved. I have eaten things no man
should eat. I’ve crawled through the snow and the ice and damn near lost my
other thumb to frostbite like I lost my first.
And a man without thumbs is nothing. I could have laid down and died a
thousand times over the last ten years, but I didn’t. I kept going, because all
the time, I knew my gold was waiting for me.”(Sedgewick 107) This quote from
the book is said by Wolff as he is trying to get his golf from Sig who happens
to nothing about it. Yet Wolff insists he does or he will kill him. Einar had
struck a deal with wolff to split the gold but Einar never wanted anything to
do with Wolff. When they planned to meet up to split it Einar had evaded him. I
choose this quote also because it gives insight as to the violence that Wolff
can and will create all for some old he thinks he is owed.
